During the course of 2008, Christa Saayman, the owner of MYSTIC MONKEYS &FEATHERS WILDLIFE PARK , imported two pairs of Biewer Yorkshire Terriers, with the purpose to start a breeding programme and introduce these amazing little animals to the South African public. The first two puppies were imported from a well-known breeder in Germany and the excitement was unreal when the two puppies named Miley and Cody, arrived in South Africa during July 2008.

Shortly thereafter, Christa imported another two Biewer Yorkies from a breeder in The Netherlands, Zack and an older Biewer Yorkie named Zettie. Christa has done extensive research on these puppies and her aim is to inform and educate the public about this special breed.
